Is your Spotify artist profile at risk?

You may have heard some recent rumbling of Spotify making some big changes in 2024, one of which is that they will start cracking down even more on fraudulent activity - bot-generated streams, etc.

There isn't a lot of information to go off of yet, but this is something Spotify has already been implementing for the past few years. Sadly, I've spoken with too many artists who have gotten their entire artist profile and catalog of songs permanently taken down from Spotify because they unknowingly used a service that added their song(s) to playlists that were using bots. Chances are you've either used or come across services like this, but probably didn't know it.

My advice to you is to stay away from any playlisting service that allows you to pay them right away for their service without a true song review process because that means they don't care about the quality of the songs - they have an automated system where they take on as many songs as they can, so they can make as much money as they can - and they provide fake results.

As we hear more details in the coming weeks about the big changes happening on Spotify in 2024, we will definitely keep you posted. In the meantime, if you have new music coming out in 2024, we'd love to discuss how we can partner with you to help you reach as many people as possible with marketing strategies that actually work.
